Aloha,

I wanted to let the adminstrative staff know how impressed I am with your students.
Saturday I stopped to have my car washed. The students did an excellent job. But most and foremost I was impressed with each students' courtesy, politeness, and behavior.

Great job teachers and students!

Let me just take this time to thank our Heavenly Father for guiding us up until this very day. The reason for my e-mail is to share with you about my experience at the Youth Retreat in Honolulu that I attended with Miss Tersy.

Just for your information, no one asked me to share with you; I just wanted to.When I came back from the camp I couldn't stop sharing my wonderful experience with the other students, but somehow that still wasn't enough; so I thought I'd write to you, the staff and teachers, as well. Here I go:

On Friday, October 12, Miss Tersy and I flew to Honolulu. Our pastor picked us up and drove us to the center. We found that altogether there were 30 young adults from many different places, including Maui, Kauai, Kona, and Oahu, attending the retreat. That evening we ate steak and shrimp! It was delicious!!

On Saturday we went kayaking! I had a lot of fun because that day, October 13, was my birthday. People I had never met came up to me and wished me a happy birthday. I felt sooo happy to be making even more new friends than the ones I have here at HSP. In the evening we did Bible study and had a banquet. The food was delicious!

Another activity I enjoyed was the campfire out on the beach. The night was beautiful! I had never seen that many stars in my life. I actually cried! I cried because I was happy to be learning about God and to be with people who strive every day to spread the words of the Lord.

At the retreat we did activities that taught me that whenever we're stuck on something, we can always ask God for His help. On Sunday after Mass we watched a movie about a father and his son. It was the saddest, yet most encouraging movie I've ever seen. Because the son was handicapped the father strove and just sacrificed everything for him. It taught me one thing: Togetherness. One thing that stood out was, "DON'T RUN ALONE"; to me this means that we should always ask for help, work together, and just help each other out.

I loved the people, the activities, and, let me not forget, the food from the camp. If there is another one I will definitely go. I would like to thank you for your time. I know that you're busy and all that, and I want you to know that your reading this means a lot to me. I thank you very much.

GOD BLESS YOU,
LISA SIGRAH
