Teaching Standards

HIGH SCHOOL of the PACIFIC employs teachers who have mastery of not only their subject, but also of the ability to convey the content to students effectively. Teachers are chosen based on required credentials and demonstrated ability to help students attain the concepts and skills needed for college and career leadership.

High School of the Pacific teachers are able to articulate ideas, organize learning, and create useful applications. They relate lessons to purpose, and they use technology to maximize learning. At all times, they honor the diversity and individual capabilities of the students. Where possible, they orient the studies to take advantage of the unique demographic makeup and geographic setting of the Pacific region and island environments. They report student progress and evaluate accomplishment regularly. For more exact listings of teacher goals and objectives, check the Instructional standards listed below. (Click here)
